Andrew's descants have been written over the years for use by his choirs. "AMNS" stands for "Hymns Ancient and Modern New Standard". Where the underlying harmony is by Noel Rawsthorne, the arrangement can be found in "200 Last Verses" or "200 More Last Verses" published by Kevin Mayhew. A second table contains descants by Alan Gray, and a third table offers descants by Geoffrey Shaw. Please feel free to download and try out the descants with your choir:
This second table contains all the descants from "A Book of Descants" by Alan Gray. The sources are a combination of the 1924 edition of the organ accompaniments and the 1920 book of treble parts.
